Review

So does anyone have any questions-comments in regards to the anatomy from last class/homework or about our discussion on Karma?

  1. I wasn't at the last class and would be curious how it went. I'm reviewing the Intro to Light on Yoga right now and feeling overwhelmed -in a good way! What's the deal with the "quiz show" Ruth Anne was talking about the time before last?
Anyway - more than the quiz show I'd love to hear about the lecture/discussion.

  2. Hi Loris,
We didn't do the quiz show last time, but might do it tomorrow. She said we'd review some of the stuff from last time because several folks were absent.
    See you tomorrow. :)

  3. Hey Loris, these are my notes from the Ruth Anne part of last class, sorry it took me so long to get them to you. All of the stuff she went over was really indepth and hard to transpose. So this is my best. She also said she’s going to give a hand out on the meaning of karma this class. See you later today, hope this helps!

    Karma: Cosmic habit force
You are the owner of your own karma, if this wasn’t the case yoga, transformation is not possible. Are brains are made to change and grow. Desire is the deciding factor in order to make these changes.

Correlation between our list and karma: Illustrates points of karma for you to experiment with all on a subconscious level.

    Eight Limbs of Yoga:
    1)Yama: Purifying relationships with others.
    2)Niyama: Purifying relationship with self
    3)Asana: Purifying of physical body
    4)Pranayama: Management of energy
5)Pratyarara: Withdrawing of senses. (feature of meditation)

You’re never upset for the reasons you think. All within self, clues to resolution found in pratyarara.
